With Falken Eurowinter HS01 255/45 R18 103V, you can't go wrong. The symmetrical design offers high stability and the quality of the tyres is very good.
Quieter than the Hankook, about the same on wet roads, or maybe a little better.
Good road handling on wet and icy roads. Not tested on snow but seems quite effective in winter.

The tyres meet my expectations so far. As they are winter tyres and the temperature is still on the positive side, it is not possible to assess the tyres in terms of snow/slippery conditions.
