The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 is an ultra-high performance summer tire that is equally effective on dry and wet surfaces. It features an innovative resin rubber compound that greatly enhances the contact surface with the road; it literally sticks to the road, regardless of driving style or terrain or weather conditions (Contact Patch Technology / Dry Stability Plus) without any impact on rolling resistance. The Wet Braking Pro technology, which in addition to the flexible resin contains flexible lamellas, allows for more micro-contacts with the road to improve braking and handling on wet surfaces. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 has been designed to fit most new electric vehicles, and is expected to be standard equipment on new vehicles from 2023. A comfortable, next-generation tire that reassures and appeals.
This technology is based on the tyre’s ability to physically adjust its behaviour according to driving constraints.
This technology, integrated into the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 tyre, is based on a specific chemical advancement in the rubber compound.

Excellent tyres.
Considering all the comparative tests on Tyre Reviews, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 outperforms the Pilot Sport 5 and stands out for its consistency in the rankings. It performs better in dry handling (9 wins to 2) and is often described as a sportier, more direct tyre, offering better lateral grip and neutral behaviour. It also leads in acoustic comfort: noise levels are virtually faultless (11 wins to 0), and it regularly shows competitive rolling resistance. In comparative tests, it generally ranks near the top (for example, 2nd out of 20 in AutoBild 2026 and 1st out of 21 in AutoBild UHP 2023) and proves particularly advantageous in terms of running costs: AutoBild 2026 indicates a higher projected mileage (63,830 km versus 59,670 km) and a significantly lower cost per kilometre (€12.22 versus €15.42). The Pilot Sport 5 remains an excellent tyre, with a slightly different approach. It more often achieves better results in wet braking (8 versus 7 in the summary) and frequently excels in aquaplaning, particularly in a straight line (6 wins to 5) and sometimes also in lateral aquaplaning (5 to 4). It also offers excellent subjective steering precision on dry roads (for example, Sport Auto 2026, subjective score of 10 versus 9), and in some data sets, it shows significantly lower wear (for example, an advantage in wear according to ADAC and several overall wins for wear). On the other hand, several reports note less convincing behaviour in wet cornering at the limit (sudden breakaway in certain conditions) and consistently higher pass-by noise than the Goodyear. Practical conclusion: if you are looking for a tyre that delivers sporty sensations while preserving comfort, low noise levels and lower long-term costs, the Goodyear is generally the wiser choice. If your priority is confidence in aquaplaning conditions and strong wet braking, particularly in regions where standing water is common, the Michelin remains a compelling option.
Drives very well.
Everything was fine.
Great tyres. Great grip. Would buy again straight away.
Very good road holding, very quiet tyre, especially inside the cabin, with fuel consumption reduced by around 15–20% compared with my previous tyres.
Great tyres; I have been using them for a number of years, and they are brilliant in the wet. I live in Ireland, so it is pretty much always wet. If you have nice alloys and want rim protection, these are a good choice. I will be buying them again in the future.
So far, it’s okay.
The Eagle F1 has so far been an excellent summer tyre. In both wet and dry conditions, I always feel that my vehicle brakes strongly and has an enormous amount of grip on the road. It is also fairly quiet in terms of noise compared with my previous tyres. There is a very slight deduction for comfort, as the tyres feel very hard, but this is completely offset by the sense of safety they give me.
Very good tyre, although I have not yet been able to test it more thoroughly. Pleasantly quiet, good value for money.
