I bought tyres and had them fitted to the rims at the shop. I haven't driven a metre on the tyres yet, but according to tests, they seem good. The purchase itself went smoothly, as did the delivery. When I received the tyres, I noticed their DOT was a few weeks shy of 2 years old. I considered returning them. I contacted the seller, who stated that they cannot guarantee the manufacturing date of the tyres or the storage conditions. I accepted the tyres anyway, hoping nothing will come up. On the other hand, I read on tyre manufacturers' websites that even tyres manufactured 5 years ago can be sold as new if stored correctly. Next time, I will be more cautious about this.
