The Michelin Power RS 190/50 ZR17 73W (Rear) has a great reputation, it offers excellent grip, wears slowly and adheres better than its predecessor (Pilot Power 3) on wet road.

I was in two minds to swap my worn, but serviceable Avons for the pair of Power RS tyres during the winter - the old tyres had lost their profile and didn't feel so good on cold/damp roads, they had been great. I was worried about scrubbing in new tyres in cool, damp and dirty road conditions - I shouldn't have worried, the Michelins gave not a hint of squirm or moment of concern, they are the best sports tyres by far that I've ridden on in the winter. I've been out in better conditions, although still chilly and they've gripped brilliantly when I could corner faster. The tyres take very little time to warm up, find grip in all conditions (I expect they'll be even better when it warms up),.I've found them very stable and even give a compliant ride ! The front tyre profile means that the bike turns with very little effort, but once used to this have found the front to be very planted, provide plenty of feed-back and once tipped in are very consistent. I haven't put enough miles on them to know what mileage they'll manage, apparently they wear pretty well considering the grip they offer - I have my bike to enjoy myself and these tyres allow me to do that on more days than any of my previous tyres - money well spent.

Can't rate longevity yet. Did a 250 mile trip on the day I fitted them. Got caught out in the rain on the way back so kept my speed below 70 mph as I was not sure of the tyres, no issues but then I was taking it easy. They heat up very quickly and in the dry stick to the road like glue. My son, on his Versys 1000 couldn't keep up on the corners. So far done 2 group rides, plus a couple of hundred miles on country lanes and probably 500 miles on motorway. They behave very well. If I am allowed to edit this review I will let you know after doing a Ride of Respect at the end of the month, it is bound to rain at the end of October.
