Tyre sidewalls are good indicators of whether your tyres are in good shape. A close inspection allows you to detect abnormalities in the internal structure of the tyres. However, not all deformations should be cause for worry.

A slight indentation on the sidewall : that corresponds to the overlap between several nylon cords and metal strings due to the internal structure of protection layers in radials. There is no negative effect on performance and no increased danger.
A protruding bulge is a different matter altogether. It indicates a change in the internal structure of the tyre and pressure loss. It is caused by a shock or because it is a faulty tyre. When detecting a bulge-like protusion on a tyre, make sure you replace the tyre shortly as it is very likely to blow off if submitted to high stress
Tyres with aesthetic defects(DA DECKE) :It is also possible to buy tyres that have aesthetic defects. They are very interesting in so far as they are guaranteed by the manufacturer and sell at a bargain price.
