Compared to the Gen-1, the tire has a wider profile that allows it to touch the ground over a larger contact area, providing effective grip on icy roads.
SmartTred Plasticizer Technology: Since plasticizers can alter the mechanical properties of rubber at different temperatures, it's a compound that makes the rubber more elastic. In all weather conditions, the tread stiffness remains the same, which is what you need for the all-season tires you want. Hydrodynamic grooves arranged in a "V" shape (directional profile) to reduce the risk of aquaplaning and ensure safer driving.
