So far the tyres have performed well. Wet weather seems no better or worse than the Pirelli P Zero. Noise level is no worse and may even be a little better. I can’t yet give a view on wear.

My son convinced me to buy these tyres. Previous tyres were Michelin Primacy 3. The Asymmetrical 5 were not recommended on the superb and had to look far and wide. Having covered 500 miles I have noticed a considerable difference in handling with the car being able to corner much better showing off it’s ability as a HPT. The downside , although very smooth on good road surfaces , is that they can be crashy over pot holes and bad road surfaces. These tyres are better suited to shorter wheel base cars e.g. Gti or cupra. I would have preferred a more comfortable ride and will be putting on Michelin again. Having said that the Goodyears asymmetrical 5 are an excellent tyre. Noticeable drop in mpg ( motorway Michelin 46 mpg - Goodyear 41 mpg ) and steering feels heavier than Michelin but Goodyear a much better handling tyre. City driving / Motorways Michelin are better. Country lanes, spirited driving Goodyear are better.

i really like these tyres, excellent grip, good comfort and very confidence inspiring in the corners. They are also not very expensive for what they offer.
