Again and again
The tyres are very nice. But ALL tyre dealers where you look for OWL/ORWL tyres rarely provide photos of these white letters. With these tyres, it’s not the whole letters that are white, but only their outlines. Annoying if you ever had to buy more later…
These tyres in 235/70R16 are excellent for all-round use. Quieter, more comfortable and with better grip on the road, and less aggressive (less digging in and rutting) off-road. My first choice for daily use after years of driving on KO2s and Grabbers.
Good road holding
Tire tested on the highway, small roads in Ardèche, Var, and Haute Savoie, both at 30 degrees, in thunderstorms, and in mud, this tire is surprisingly versatile! I was particularly impressed by its effectiveness on a (very) rough dirt road and during a thunderstorm in Ardèche. Despite its relatively road-oriented tread, it clears mud very well!
Top tyres, a benchmark
Just purchased, very happy so far.
I had to replace the first set after a collision where the steel fender was pressed deep into the tire. Despite the cutting of the tread all around, no flat tire, very sturdy carcass. However, I had to replace all 4 tires after barely 15000 km due to the permanent 4motion 4x4. I rotate the second set with 2 of the used tires so that all 6 wear evenly. Mainly used on regional roads but for work in forests, dunes, fields, and verges, good traction (does not dig as strongly as the BFG ko2) and on the road much quieter and tighter in the corners.
Good tyres for a competitive price. Long delivery time by GLS (2 weeks), possibly due to the time of year.
